The West Tech Alumni Association was founded in
1982 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1997.
Members of the Association include former students, faculty,
staff, family members and friends of the West Tech community.
Many former West Tech Alumni are just learning about the Alumni
Association, even though it has been in existence for
twenty-seven years. Our presence is becoming more evident
as Alumni Association event publicity can be seen in newspapers,
cable television community bulletin boards, radio community
bulletin boards, internet sites and flyers posted in libraries,
post offices and various places around town.
WEST TECH HIGH SCHOOL - 100
YEARS OLD

The West Tech Alumni Association is planning to
make 2012 a tribute to the "100 year legacy of West Tech High
School" by reaching out to alumni everywhere asking them to spread
the word via email, Facebook, Twitter, class websites, newsletters,
newspapers, etc. We hope you will join in the excitement and tell
your classmates and friends. An Open House at West Tech is scheduled
from July 17 through July 21. Please take a few minutes to review
the daily schedule and make plans to attend any or all days. We
would appreciate hearing from you so that we can learn how many
alumni and friends to expect. I am very excited to be the President
of the WTAA as the celebration begins. I remember the 50th
anniversary of our great school and was honored to be a student
participating in the event in 1962. The event will have something
for everyone so you can choose what you are interested in and how to
plan with your fellow alumni when you will be attending to meet them
at Lincoln yet again. We are hoping for many alumni, family and
friends to return to the halls of Dear Old West Tech to celebrate
the 100 year legacy of our great school. Please fill out the form
below and return it to us at your earliest convenience as the
information will help us with our planning.
100th ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE
July 17, 2012 to July 21, 2012
Hours From 10 AM to 3 PM each day. (Enter school at the Willard and
West 93rd Street doors). The West Tech Museum will be open
daily and there will be three tours each day as well. The
focus for each day is designated below.
Tuesday, July 17 Welcome - Opening Ceremony
Art, all Choirs, Band, Orchestra and Thespians
Wednesday, July 18 Principals, Faculty, Hall of Fame Members,
and
Authors (books signed where possible)
Thursday, July 19 Girls’ Leaders, Cheerleaders, Majorettes,
Warriorettes, and Twirlerettes
Friday, July 20 Coaches and all Sports Teams
Saturday, July 21 All Vocational, Technical, Horticulture
Closing Ceremony

WTAA OFFICE AT WEST TECH
The WTAA office at West Tech HIgh School is open on
Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You are
invited to stop in to visit and see the wonderful displays of
pictures, trophies, and other special memorabilia.
WEST TECH HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT INFORMATION
From time to time, questions come in from West Tech Alumni
asking how to obtain a replacement diplomas and/or
transcripts from the school. We are pleased to share
information with you from the Cleveland Board of Education
to assist you in obtaining these documents. The information
is available from Student Assignments located at 1440
Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114. Hours are 8:15 A.M.
to 4:30 P.M. Telephone number is (216) 523-6347 or (216)

request and allow approximately two weeks to receive the
